We trace leaks properly — up in the attic with a light looking for the run marks, then on the roof following them back to the entry point. Nine times in ten it is flashing, a split pipe boot, or a nail that backed out, not the field of the shingle at all.
Repairs are made with matching material where we can source it and a proper flashing detail where the original was wrong. We photograph the fix so you can see what you paid for.
If a roof is too far gone for a repair to hold, we say so and show you the photographs that make the case. Selling a $700 patch on a roof with two years left in it helps nobody.
