Gutters & Downspouts
Seamless six-inch gutters rolled on site, hung on hidden hangers, and pitched so the water reaches the downspout instead of the fascia.
Half the fascia rot we cut out during a tear-off was caused by a gutter that was too small.
We roll seamless aluminium on site, so the only joints in the run are at the corners and outlets. Six-inch is our default on anything with real roof area behind it — five-inch overflows in a Tennessee downpour and the water ends up behind the boards.
Hidden hangers are screwed into the rafter tails every two feet, not nailed into the fascia. Downspouts are sized and placed to move the volume the roof actually sheds, and discharged far enough out that the foundation stays dry.
Guards are optional and we are honest about them: they help under trees and they are wasted money on an open lot.
